Jim Clark Inducted into Midwest Real Estate News’ 2016 Hall of Fame
Over the past 32 years, Jim Clark has completed $4.5 billion in transactions across 24 states. In 2002, Clark founded EnTrust Realty Advisors, one of the few African-American owned commercial real estate brokerage & advisory firms in the Country serving institutional, corporate and private/entrepreneurial clients. He leads the firm in advising investors in the disposition, acquisition and financing of office, medical and industrial properties; and representing tenants in leasing office space. Prior to forming EnTrust, Clark built the national investment brokerage team at Transwestern as president of Investment Services; ran the Midwest real estate for a major life company; and spent 10-years on Wall Street in the initial real estate investment banking team at Lehman Brothers.
“One of the greatest challenges in selling commercial real estate is balancing needs, desires and expectations,” Clark said. “I try to be straightforward and honest and to identify the ‘hook’ that creates a unique incentive to complete a transaction.”
With the insight from decades of experience Clark helps clients understand and anticipate the factors motivating and constraining the counterparty to a transaction. “My mantra is, ‘time flies, relationships endure’ and I have focused on building long-term relationships with investors, tenants and my colleagues throughout the brokerage community,” said Clark.
As one of only a few minorities nationwide in a commercial real estate hall of fame, Clark attributes his accomplishments to being blessed with tremendous mentors and opportunities; a relentless commitment to excellence; and embracing the fundamental principles on which he established EnTrust: Integrity. Relationships. Results.
